This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Works independently to provide expert direction and planning for various complex programs within Engineering. Responsibilities include: project management, interaction with customers and their representatives, Eversource internal stakeholders, developers, state and federal representatives. Other major responsibilities include coordination of complex studies, scheduling of resources and monitoring of project costs and meeting or exceeding customer expectations for the successful implementation of projects within mandated regulatory time limits and budgets. The Senior Program Manager may lead cross functional and company teams on current and developing regulatory and legislative issues.
Essential Functions:
Develops strategic and tactical plans for the group to ensure that the Company is operationally ready and in full compliance with state and federal energy legislation and regulations.
Oversees the department’s most complex projects through their complete life-cycle, from application to final project test and closeout.
Influences changes in philosophy, design approach or business practices with regards to programs
Analyzes, tracks and reports on department goals, SLA’s and other metrics as needed.
Analyzes data and develops reports and innovative solutions regarding projects.
Tracks and analyzes engineering and project costs to improve forecasting.
May provide direction and guidance to employees working on the various programs; serves as program technical leader.
Represents the Company’s interests at industry caucuses at state, regional and national levels in the development of rules and regulations, rates and tariffs, etc.
Provides regulatory and legislative support, including answering interrogatories, and witness testimony as required.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Expert knowledge of electric power system operations, utility regulation and tariffs, applicable governmental and regulatory laws, rules and regulations.
Solid understanding of business financial principles
Ability to provide direction to a cross-process team and technical solutions on a variety of concurrent projects that may include complex, controversial and unique issues.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Business or Engineering. MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related experience.

Compensation and Benefits:
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $146,000.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Areas of expertise include designing new substations and infrastructure, analyzing systems and disruptions to service, working with transformers, engineering the electrical protection and control circuits that handle the flow of power, and dealing with acceptance testing of equipment, failures of equipment and analysis of system disturbances, LNG plant and gas distribution.
