IT Senior Architect, Data Solution (Hybrid) 

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our Team

We are looking for an innovative Data Solutions Architect responsible for designing, creating, and managing Eversource’s data architecture. This role is critical in establishing a solid foundation for data management, ensuring data is organized, secure, and aligned with objectives. 

A data architect will help design warehouses, and define how data will be collected and organized. 

The Data Solution Architect’s responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications and assessing the current systems in place to identify the ins and outs of data source to consumption. 
As Data Solutions Architect you will also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in architecture projects.

Essential Functions: 

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

• Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern data warehouse tools  (Databricks)
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, or Teradata
• Experience leading projects involving data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis
• Strong ability in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C/C++
• Understanding of entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools and techniques
• Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture
• Ability to assess traditional and modern data architecture components based on business needs
• Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau
• Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology, especially in the ML/AI realm
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate large volumes of complex information to senior management of various technical understandings
• Ability to collaborate and excel in complex, cross-functional teams involving data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Ability to guide solution design and architecture to meet business needs

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, data science, engineering or equivalent education and work experience Experience:  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience related to data solutions architecture role.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs.
• Working Conditions:
• Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
• Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
