Director, Supply Chain Strategy, Planning, & Performance

Locations: Westwood, Massachusetts; East Berlin, Connecticut; Manchester, New Hampshire

This position is responsible for leading strategic initiatives, full life cycle material planning and supply chain compliance within Eversource, including adherence to State and Federal level requirements. Key responsibilities include overseeing reporting analytics, benchmarking functions, and optimizing system and process within the Supply Chain organization.

Essential Functions: 

  • Drive the development and implementation of the broader supply chain vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Communicates this vision effectively to stakeholders, including direct reports, peers, business partners and leadership.
  • Develop and implement short, medium and long-term strategies to support full life-cycle material planning and inventory management.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of a highly effective reporting and analytics framework, enabling operational, ad hoc and strategic insights for strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), compliance and total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Engages with business partners at senior levels to understand business strategic direction, priorities, challenges and risks. Builds relationships and gains alignment across the corporation.
  • Drive supply chain compliance across the organization ensuring the implementation of effective controls and promoting cost prudency.
  • Oversight of the Supplier Diversity Program, which aims to foster increased diverse supplier spend across the corporation.
  • Implement best practices for risk assessment and mitigation, addressing both supply chain and business partner risks.
  • Lead supply chain process improvement initiatives to standardize supply chain approach and integrate them across various functions.
  • Serve as supply chain or company lead on escalated supplier issues.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Expertise in Supply Chain Management, including purchasing, material planning and inventory systems.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis, project management.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to develop complex models and draw decisive conclusions.
  • Proficiency in systems such as Maximo, SAP Ariba, and advanced reporting tools like PowerBI.
  • Advanced problem solving, decision making, and influencing skills.
  • Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and or critical relationships diplomatically and strategically.  
  • Advanced cross functional program management skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred

Experience:                             

  • Twelve (12) or more years related experience in Supply Chain and data analytics
  • Demonstrated success in developing reporting metrics and implementing operational improvements.  

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Eversource Energy offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $189,000-$210,000/year, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Please check our career site for an overview of our benefits.
