Data and Financial Analyst, Energy Efficiency (Hybrid)
12/20/2024Locations: Westwood, Massachusetts; Berlin, Connecticut
This position is responsible for the Energy Efficiency business operations for all three states, including but not limited to data management, invoice processing tracking of budgets, accounting and reporting key performance indicators and metrics. Responsibilities include providing financial and administrative support to management, coordination, and support of the energy efficiency residential and commercial rebate program delivery team in MA, CT, and NH. This includes oversight of all invoicing and financials submitted by 3rd party vendors/lenders that process rebates at scale across the Eversource fell service territory.
This is a hybrid role.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for reviewing Energy Efficiency accounting and budgeting information to ensure it is complete, accurate and maintained in accordance with the Company’s’ Accounting and Budgeting area requirements, as well as with regulatory decisions and orders.
- Assists with the development of Energy Efficiency budget projections across all three states, assesses performance against approved budgets and coordinates modifications.
- Oversight and tracking of all residential and commercial rebate spending.
- Processing and tracking of all invoices with associated programs.
- Support and tracking of program expenses associated with Heat Loan program.
- Supports the production of the Monthly Key Performance Indicators and Financial Reports for the Energy Efficiency organization.
- Coordination and participates with the development of financial projections with input from program implementation team and third-party support vendors.
- Collaboration with business functions to ensure EE compliance protocols are followed for invoice documentation and approvals.
Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Knowledge and experience with budgeting and forecasting process
- Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability in all areas of financial reporting, analyses and financial modeling.
- Must possess an understanding of financial statements, financial modeling and work efficiently under pressure.
- Must be customer driven, display initiative, accepts responsibility, holds others accountable, participates in and facilitates team effectiveness, thinks and acts analytically.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions to support the mission, work independently and apply knowledge and skill to solve problems.
- Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, in addition to other Microsoft Office applications (MS Power point, MS Word) and other business system applications.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in running queries in various systems and data gathering.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes and environment including the regulatory filing process.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Three (3) plus years related experience. Energy Efficiency, Accounting, Finance, Economics/Mathematics and Regulatory, Budgeting or Planning experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $86,000 - $96,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
