Performs a variety of administrative work in connection with the preparation, processing, and maintenance of distribution, production, and meter service records, for an assigned operating area of the Company. Work requires initiative, judgment, and a working knowledge of applicable Company procedures and practices.Starting pay rate is $26.55 - $29.43 per hour
General Principal Duties:
- Receives and analyzes calls requiring immediate response. Operates base radio equipment to contact operating personnel for assuring safe and reliable operation of the system and timely response to customers.
- Receives and answers telephone and personal inquiries from customers, company personnel, etc. Obtains and furnishes requested information or ensures proper and timely response by appropriate personnel.
- Operates a computer to input or extract data. Relating to operating records, timesheets, work management, time and vehicle data into payroll system and other related operating data.
- Participates in the instruction of new and less experienced administrative support in job techniques, methods, and procedures.
- Responsible for monthly data entry of P-Card purchases.
- Maintains filing systems and service cards for the department.
- Orders supplies as needed. Administrative Operating Records Support will be cross trained in essential aspects of the Administrative Operating Records Support job classification, and will back-up as needed, due to vacations, sick, leaves of absence or emergency/unusual business situations.
- Distribution Duties:
- Prepares, processes, and maintains a variety of distribution records, reports, and orders, some of a complex or technical nature.
- Coordinate’s school safety program.
- Responsible for administrative aspects of CBYD related work, including demolition notifications, as required.
- Traffic duty invoices, as assigned.
Meter & Service Duties:
- Prepares, processes, and maintains a variety of meter & service records, reports, and orders, some of a complex or technical nature.
- Prepares, verifies, and processes appliance repair orders and red tag orders for billing customers for completed work.
- Inputs data associated with metering equipment as required. Verifies and assists with meter inventories and reconciles discrepancies.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
H.S. Diploma or the equivalent (GED).
Experience:
2 Years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of operating and construction procedures and practices as they relate to the work. Ability to operate a computer, and other office equipment. Ability to work with detail. Ability to do skilled typing. Working knowledge of various types of meters and associated metering equipment is desirable. Working knowledge of CAD system is desirable.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
Bargaining unit employee with contractual rights to the position will be given first consideration.
This is a union represented position so anyone going into this position would be required to become a member of the union.
