Role and Scope of Position:This position supervises mechanics and service employees in Company garages who are engaged in the servicing, maintenance and overhaul of motorized equipment and installed equipment such as hydraulic hoists. Responsible for prioritizing work and schedules to ensure commitments to the operating groups are met. Ensures work practices meet Company and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions:
- Supervises, coordinates and provides leadership to auto mechanics, leaders and other assigned staff.
- Plans daily operational schedules and assigns work in order to meet the needs of the operating groups.
- Oversees work of assigned staff and provides guidance in the resolution of problems.
- Evaluates, develops and recommends changes in methods, procedures and work practices, and oversees implementation upon approval.
- Ensures assigned staff understands business unit work practices, procedures, rules and regulations, as well as corporate policies.
- Interviews and recommends candidates for employment and termination.
- Oversees contractors and provides management of selected projects.
- Maintains records for compiling a pertinent history of equipment including records covering driver safety.
- In collaboration with other supervisors and managers, ensures that emergency storm plans are in place in order to support the timely restoration of customer service.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Demonstrated knowledge in Fleet Maintenance.
- Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Requires excellent communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, related discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience
Licenses & Certifications:
- CDL Class A preferred
- The annual salary range for this position is $110,930 - $123,260, plus incentive. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- Work involves some office work and attendance at planning and coordinating meetings at various locations and some outside work. Although work location will be primarily at the area garages, may require driving to various job site locations and customer premises to supervise work. May require off-hour on-call responsibility in response to outage situations and shift coverage requirements.
