This position will manage the operational components of the company’s LREC/ZREC, NRES and SCEF Programs, as well as other commercial Renewable Programs .Responsibilities include vendor oversight, customer /installer application for and payment of incentives, as well as monitoring the meter installation, meter data collection and delivery and billing processes as they pertain to program participants. Manages staff responsible for addressing customer inquiries and complaints via multiple channels to ensure an accurate, timely and comprehensive response. Monitors day-to-day operational & financial tasks performed by third-party vendors. Responsible for successful implementation of process improvements including, those related to customer experience, incentive program process streamlining, installer interactions, and consumer education. Oversees compliance to regulatory and applicable financial regulations.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
- Documents detailed processes and procedures associated with the LREC/ZREC, NRES and SCEF Programs, as well as other Renewable Programs in CT. Updates as required based on continuous improvements to the process.
- Works with Director to develop and provide status reports to meet the needs of regulators and Eversource Management.
- Manages vendors and budget associated with the Renewable Programs, including the Solar Program Administrator vendor and other vendors working solely for Eversource.
- Serves as operations subject matter expert on distributed generation portal projects to ensure that the requirements & final system design reflect program requirements, enrollment & payment processes and a positive customer experience.
- Supervises Solar Specialists and/or other solar-related staff.
- Identifies and implements criteria for quality control measures for all program activities.
- Acts on customer survey data including survey results and associated recommendations to improve customer satisfaction scores for Eversource.
- Represents Eversource at statewide meetings attended by all distribution companies.
- Works collaboratively with the Interconnection Department
- Works collaboratively with other internal Eversource departments to ensure a positive customer experience
- Manages databases and tools to confirm eligibility, participation, appropriate rates and production meter reads so that invoices for payments can be issued or approved, and so that the Renewable Programs Group will act as the responsible group to settle customer or regulatory requests for clarification or payment information.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Demonstrates competency and proficiency in oral and written communications; is customer driven; displays initiative; accepts responsibility; takes ownership; goes beyond what the job requires; results oriented; holds others accountable; participates in and facilitates team effectiveness; builds key relationships; assumes the role of team leader; thinks and acts analytically; makes sound decisions to support the mission; applies knowledge and skill to solve problems; and responds promptly, appropriately and constructively to employees.
Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations Research or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Ten (10) plus years’ experience in the utility, renewable or solar industries, including 2-4 years’ experience managing teams engaged in Customer Care functions or related activities.
- Knowledge of utility billing systems, operational principles, process improvement, information needs and/or systems utilized to implement the SMART program (e.g., PowerClerk)
- Experience managing projects involving technology implementation and process change.
- With MBA will consider candidates with 8 years of directly related experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $137,000 - $153,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
