Our Team

As a Lead, Product owner you will play a crucial role in the Work Order Life Cycle IT Organization, focusing on defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and driving the product roadmap to align with organizational goals.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Product Owner to join our growing team. In this role, you will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the technical development team, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative, high-quality IT products and solutions. This 
position is responsible for collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements and then collaborating on conceptual solution design options with IT technical staff, including Domain, Solution, and Enterprise IT Architects, and/or business.

The IT Product Owner is a leader and plays a key role throughout the full application lifecycle for small and large development projects

Essential Functions: 

  • Plans and prioritizes needs in the form of a backlog and prioritizes their development.
  • High level of collaboration with various business teams to drive product decisions and prioritization of requirements.
  • Work closely with development, QA, architecture, and UX/UI teams in an Agile environment.
  • Leads and facilitates meetings and communications between IT and an assigned business area, and informs team members on ongoing discussions with the business.
  • Supervisor junior product owners or business analysts
  • Supports stakeholders; identifies areas of improvement and works with individuals and teams to implement these improvements.
  • Manages relationships with vendors to ensure that the services provided are high quality and cost effective.
  • Supports the IT development process and project lifecycle end-to-end along with developing test plans, cases and participating in the testing and approval of new functionality implementations.
  • Identifies business requirements and codifies into well-defined specifications, stories and supporting artifacts that articulate simple, elegant solutions to consumer problems.
  • Identifies risks which could jeopardize the deliverables and results of Eversource initiatives or objectives.
  • Provides business and technical consultation to management, users and staff.
  • Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment on product goals and delivery timelines.
  • Define and track KPIs to evaluate product performance and drive continuous improvement.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Possess initiative to think several steps ahead in the new cloud environment and anticipate needs of customers employees, and partners.
  • Must be technically-oriented with the ability to write and interpret requirements, QA releases and interact effectively with technical resources.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with acute attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills, meticulously thorough and tenacious.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable plans and tactics.
  • Good communication (verbal and written), strong interpersonal, negotiation and management skills, and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data concepts
  • Knowledge of cloud concepts

Education: 

  • Bachelors` degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.), or applicable work experience.

Experience:

  • Eight (8) to Ten (10) years of work experience preferably working within an IT or data organization.
  • Preference given to individuals that have a solid understanding of Eversource’s data IT applications, and business processes associated with those applications.    Licenses:  
  • Agile and/or Six Sigma certifications preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
