IT Team Lead, Access Administration and Controls (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our Team

The Team Lead will oversee the Eversource Access Administration and Controls team that is responsible for overseeing and managing the access control systems and policies within the organization. This role involves working with various departments to ensure that access to sensitive information and systems is secure and compliant with regulatory standards and requirements.

Essential Functions: 

  • Developing and implementing access control policies and procedures
  • Managing user access rights and privileges across multiple systems and platforms
  • Monitoring and auditing user access to ensure compliance with security policies including IT's Sarbanes-Oxley Program.
  • Responding to access control-related incidents and investigating potential breaches
  • Collaborating with IT security teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Providing training and guidance to employees on access control best practices
  • Maintaining documentation and records related to access control processes.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in access administration and controls
  • Contributes technical knowledge to Eversource security standards and processes.
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic demand-based environment, requiring extreme flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Produces high quality oral and written work, presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely with audiences ranging from peers to Sr. Management.
  • Recommends effective process changes to enhance defense and response procedures.
  • Assists with annual SOX, CIP and SOC assessment and related remediation efforts

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Information Systems or related technical field knowledge.
  • Must have an extensive understanding of IT Security standards and solutions,
  • Familiarity with current and proposed laws, regulations, industry standards, and ethical requirements related to information security and privacy.
  • Knowledge of IAM principles
  • Sailpoint IIQ and Service Now Service Catalog

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related technical field or equivalent experience

Experience:  

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the field of information security.
  • Strong working knowledge of information systems security standards and practices, including mainframe.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: security monitoring, database security, policy and procedure, Active Directory, application security, security awareness, or related information security subject area.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  The annual salary range for this position is $142,200.00 to $158,00.00, plus incentive.  Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
