IT Associate Analyst, Information Security (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our Team

As an IT Associate Analyst, Information Security you will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of security standards, controls, and procedures for multiple platforms and diverse system environments (i.e., the mainframe, distributed computing environment and the web).  Provides direct support for new system implementations and interfacing with standardized security protocol.  Ensures compliance and governance of security standards for Eversource’s on-going security awareness program and risk management strategies.

Essential Functions: 

  • Oversees policy, standards, and controls as aligned to operational processes for compliance monitoring and testing for effective measures.

  • Conducts process design, analysis, implementation and testing activities is support of automation and streamlining control practices.

  • Analyzes communication and recommends troubleshooting/training (i.e., where appropriate for business process continuity).

  • Participates in the testing and evaluation of new products and processes.

  • Performs administrative tasks as required.

  • Performs first level troubleshooting, analysis and monitoring of automated work processes for compliance to key security controls and practices.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • General understanding and application of information security principle, theories, and concepts in the field

  • General knowledge of other related disciplines

  • General knowledge in information security practices, concepts and technology including:

  • Related policies, standards, and guidelines

  • Information and process modeling tools and techniques

  • General hardware and software research and evaluation

  • Security Awareness - General knowledge in applying risk assessment models and general IT control reliance to internal and external resources including security awareness and information classification as appropriate

  • Understanding of applicable state and federal legislation and regulations as relates to compliance indicators

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience

Experience:     

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in same or similar role.

  • None

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.

  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  The annual salary range for this position is $87,110.00 to $96,790.00, plus incentive.  Salary is commensurate with your experience.  Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
