Five-week summer internship position within the Legal Department; student intern will split the summer between the Legal Department and outside law firm.

Through this five-week summer internship, students who have completed their first year of law school will have an opportunity to gain firsthand experience within the Legal Department of Eversource Energy. As New England’s largest energy delivery company, Eversource Energy’s electric and gas operations reach approximately 4 million customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.  This internship will provide selected students a chance to work alongside seasoned attorneys within a wide range of practice areas, including federal and state regulatory, litigation, environmental, real estate, labor & employment, procurement and other transactional work, data privacy and cyber security. Selected students will gain experience in legal research and writing, mentorship opportunities, and receive shadowing opportunities in the context of traditional litigation (before courts and administrative agencies) as well as alternative dispute resolution (negotiations, arbitrations, and mediations).
