Senior Financial Systems Specialist (Hybrid)
12/23/2024Locations: Berlin, Connecticut; Westwood, Massachusetts
Provide support of the corporate budget, projection, financial and performance reporting systems. Assist management, in developing and implementing technology solutions in support of evolving business processes.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with developing solutions using Planning Analytics, Board, Dimensional Insight or other reporting systems in support of critical financial, budget and performance information.
- Coordinate with IT, consultants and user groups in resolving issues and implementing software or business system changes, configurations, or procedures.
- Create processes to manage data, dimensions and attributes. Perform tests on new processes, review applications and prepare appropriate reports and tools for financial, budgeting, and performance metrics.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing processes to meet changing user requirements.
- Provide training and end-user support. Assist employees in all management reporting projects as required.
- Support project implementations and upgrades, which cross over multiple business functions.
- Assist with implementing and interpreting system solutions using rules, processes, and efficient architecture and design.
- Support creating system design and functional specifications for financial and performance system development projects, including data interface design, data migration, and reconciliation.
- Improve and streamline the current technology models along with developing new models in response to changing business needs.
Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Advanced knowledge of Planning Analytics (TM1), Board, Dimensional Insight, PowerPlan or other financial or performance metric system software.
- Be able to successfully pair a strong technology background with in-depth understanding of business processes, including accounting and budgeting principles and/or performance metrics. Utility industry experience is helpful.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work in a team environment under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Five (5) plus years of related experience
- Experience in business and/or accounting concepts preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $103,000 - $114,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
