Senior Analyst, Federal Grants (Hybrid)
11/06/2024Locations: Berlin, Connecticut; Westwood, Massachusetts
In this position you will organize, implement, and manage the tracking and reporting of key milestones and commitments for the execution oversight and compliance for projects receiving federal grant funding across the enterprise. Serve as the clearinghouse for the review and approval of Federal Grant pursuit - internal proposals as well as external requests for partnership and support.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
- Compile and maintain the tracking of milestones and deliverables varying from financial, community agreements, labor agreements, compliance filings etc., across multiple projects across the enterprise receiving federal grants directly and as a subrecipient.
- Utilize software tools to facilitate the capture, tracking, transparency and reporting of key deliverables to ensure efficient oversight and compliance to federal grant requirements.
- Maintain a well-organized record and archive of process and final deliverables.
- Track milestones and deliverables to completion while providing transparency with advanced status on progression to teams executing and groups providing oversight and compliance assurance.
- Support internal teams developing and forwarding concepts for pursuing federal grants.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of criteria for evaluation, analysis, and documentation of federal grants to pursue as the lead.
- Establish, maintain, and serve as the point of contact for receipt and evaluation of grants being pursued by external parties for support and follow through completion.
- Shepherd the approval or denial of grants to be pursued directly or supported and maintain documentation of the decision.
- Follow support committed to external parties.
Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to implement project management best practices for successfully tracking and managing scope, commitments, requirements, and fulfilment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with both internal and external constituents, including at senior levels, employing tack and diplomacy.
- Ability to work across multiple domains and groups and aggregate, synthesize and track requirements ranging from financial to milestones and obligations.
- Proficient at budget and project management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Point, etc.) as well as other specialized project or other management tools.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- An advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Five (5) plus years related experience in regulated industries including strategy analysis, financial analysis, market research or merger and acquisition evaluations.
- Experience in the energy industry is required.
- Experience leading matrixed project teams and driving these teams toward a produce is a necessary skill.
- Ideally experience with the Uniform Guidance, a government-wide framework for grants management
- Experience managing relationships with the grantor and partners involved in grant funded projects.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $123,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
