IT Manager - OT Cybersecurity (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our team

The OT Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for the effective operation of security technologies and compliance processes within Eversource's Operational systems. Incumbent works directly or through subordinates with clients, colleagues and other key stakeholders to develop technology deployment plans to ensure that cybersecurity technology portfolios are operationally effective, upgraded and enhanced to meet the changing threat landscape and business requirements.  Works with internal and external technology providers to develop cyber security technology deployment plans that will protect new company acquired technology platforms and address new regulatory requirements. 
Individual will manage technical staff and provide oversight to suppliers to build, operate and support technology-based systems, execute on-going access administration processes, and to oversee IT’s NERC-CIP compliance programs.

Essential Functions: 

  • Manages the cybersecurity technology within Eversource's operational environment, including: malware protection, EDR, vulnerability scanning and management, network threat detection, change detection.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements such as NERC-CIP.
  • Manages the access administration processes that meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Manages the development, testing, and implementation of disaster recovery procedures for the cybersecurity technology in place.
  • Provide input and operational requirements to the company’s overall cybersecurity strategy.
  • Develops plans, budgets and schedules for budget requirements for on-going operations that meet client operational level agreements.
  • Manages technology deployment projects to ensure that the delivery is on-time, within budget and meets the company’s information and system protection requirements.
  • Develops and implementing processes, including defining measurable goals, standards and other process measures to ensure quality service, cost effectiveness and continue to meet the company’s information protection requirements.
  • Manages technical support personnel, and develop an effective, goal oriented, motivated organization. 
  • Manages relationships with vendors and service agreements to ensure that the services provided are high quality and cost effective.
  • Applies security organization maturity modeling assessment techniques as input to the Security operations planning cycle and the company’s cyber-security plans.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Effective leadership of direct reports including day-to-day coaching and performance management/assessment;
  • Effective management and analysis of budgets; demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined teams when conducting technology incident root causes and/or investigations;
  • Working knowledge of IT business practices and strategies; experience and mastery knowledge of cyber-security principles, technologies and processes;
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills including the ability to solve complex technical problems;
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.  
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external auditors, various compliance organizations and external cyber emergency response teams is critical. 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.  An advanced degree is preferred or cyber-security certification                 

Experience:   

  • Minimum of ten (10) years related experience is required of which 5 years includes supervisory/leadership responsibility                      

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  Check out our careers site for an overview of our benefits programs. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.  The annual salary range for this position is:

$158,550.00-$176,170.00
