Lead, Solution Strategist (Hybrid)

Oversee a team of specialists with expertise across various potential domains, responsible for deploying and enhancing the suite of Customer Technology systems and digital tools within the Customer Operations Organization as part of our AMI initiatives and efforts.  This position serves as the primary linkage between business end-users and technology strategy. This position will support in providing strategic direction on the future uses of the Meter Data Management System (MDMS).  Foster strong relationships with company leadership, business partners, project managers, and technology vendors to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with project timelines, dependencies, and risk management.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Essential Functions: 

  • Define and articulate the vision and strategy for systems and digital solutions within the Customer Operations Organization
  • Supervises and participates in the design, testing, and evaluation of AMI systems and processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, field operations, and customer service, to address and resolve exceptions.
  • Leads process modeling and optimization of MDMS exception processes, including MDMS validations and meter event resolutions.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to reduce the occurrence of exceptions.
  • Works with Internal/External stakeholders to develop and maintain product roadmap and strategies; scope and prioritize activities based on business impact, which defines product enhancements for short-term and long-term releases
  • Continuously works to acquire comprehensive knowledge of system capabilities and associated business workflows.
  • Guides team of subject matter experts to deliver technology solutions that leverage best practices to meet business requirements.
  • Gathers user and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities and refine vision, strategy, roadmap and requirements
  • Builds and sustains productive relationships with all stakeholders. Facilitates clear and consistent communication across the project team, related initiatives, and all levels of Eversource management. Oversees the timely and accurate delivery of new technology implementations and upgrades, aligning with business needs, industry standards, and customer and regulatory expectations

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Knowledge of IT systems including their implementation, maintenance, and optimization practices
  • Experience with implementing new technology solutions using Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience with large-scale technology projects involving integrations with multiple systems and vendors.  
  • Strong leadership in change management with the ability to drive outcomes and articulate a clear vision of success
  • Proven experience in building, training, and leading teams responsible for business and technology implementation projects.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, related degree or the equivalent combination of education and related experience, is required.
  • Master’s degree is desirable.

Experience:  

  • Five (5) plus years of experience within electric and/or gas utility or related industry is required.
  • Experience managing or serving as subject matter expert for large scale projects involving technology implementation and process change or being responsible for processes and systems related to meter reading, meter data management, billing, customer care functions, or related activities.
  • Previous experience in a management and/or leadership capacity is highly desirable. 
  • Must have a solid conceptual knowledge of Information Technology.

$115,880.00-$128,750.00
