Associate Financial Analyst, Corporate Performance Management (Hybrid)
05/13/2025Locations: Westwood, Massachusetts
Our Associate Financial Analyst within Corporate Performance Management performs various functions, including analysis, data validations, reporting, and communication of financial results. Coordinates, develops, and monitors capital investment financial schedules and documentation to support regulatory filings. Provide backup support to team members.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
- Assists and support in the preparation of financial schedules and exhibits in support of capital regulatory filings.
- Support and assist in day-to-day efforts in the coordination and development of capital investments documentation requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Capital Investment Compliance team members.
- Provides and supports various ad-hoc financial analyses.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to analyze and validate financial transaction within large data sets.
- Maintain and support new technology automations via Power BI and other platforms.
- Communicates results and their implications to management.
- Identifies areas for automation and business process improvement.
- Coordinates with business areas and provides information to management to ensure financial recovery cost are on target.
- Works effectively with all levels of management to provide required regulatory support and assists in problem solving recommendations.
- Backup support to team members in various regulatory capacities.
Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of financial statements and financial management concepts
- Understanding of utility regulatory concepts and requirements preferred
- Knowledge and experience in data management, analysis and financial systems preferred
Skills:
- Emerging financial acumen including a basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts
- Strong detail orientation as well as the ability to be thorough and precise
- Ability to work effectively with various levels within the organization
- Emerging problem-solving skills
- Emerging ability to analyze data and information and extract relevant information
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Emerging ability to use and apply sound judgment
- Team membership
- Strong customer service orientation
- Functional understanding of computerized business systems
- Demonstrated skill with MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Technical skills with Power Business Intelligence.
- Ability to multi-task and shift among multiply priorities simultaneously
- Initiative and personal ownership
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, data analytics or a closely related discipline required.
Experience:
- Zero (0) plus years related experience required.
