This is a perfect opportunity for any person interested in contributing to Enterprise Data & Analytics organization as a Data Governance Analyst Intern within Eversource Energy. This role will provide you exposure to data governance practices in data management, analytics, and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented and as a proactive mindset and is open to take initiative in new tasks.Job Responsibilities:
Support and maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and business glossaries for energy-related data domains (Customer, Energy Efficiency).
Review and capture properties of data in the Enterprise Data Catalog (eg. Numeric, alphanumeric, text etc. and length).
Seek input from teammates and engage in collaborative tasks to build glossaries.
Use advanced excel techniques like vlookups, macros etc to build data catalog.
Understand processes and document them in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, etc.
Willingness to learn about energy systems, data governance frameworks, and emerging technologies.
Collect and analyze feedback from cross-functional teams.
Candidates must currently be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource. Pay rates are hourly, based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Rates start at $18.12 for a freshman and go up to $27.63 for a graduate level student.
