Meter Service Installer Helper
08/14/2025Locations: Springfield, Massachusetts
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Individual will perform work associated with the installation of electric meters and will read electric meters as required. Perform disconnects, reconnects, tests, exchanges, and meter installations throughout the Springfield District. Work with Supervision and Dispatcher to ensure timely and safe completion of all orders. Work in inclement weather required. Storm duty required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or the equivalent required. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is also required. Electrical background strongly preferred. Individual must pass the CAST test.
This is union position. Those with bargaining rights will be given first consideration.
The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 $30.00 p/hour and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
