This position is responsible for the execution and oversight of the Sales Fulfillment process which includes responsibilities related to the installation of new gas services and main extensions including but not limited to customer contact, construction work packet preparation, installation scheduling, meter set and turn on scheduling and resolution of customer issues and complaints. The Sales Fulfillment Department works directly with the Planning and Scheduling Department to establish work plans that support customer needs and Corporate goals. The Sales Fulfillment Supervisor will organize the work force for optimum efficiency across the Operating regions within their assigned territory.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with the Planning and Scheduling department to plan and schedule installation work for each operating area (Connecticut or Massachusetts).
- Recommends and implements work practices and process improvement plans to improve efficiency and ensure consistency.
- Ensures customer inquiries, complaints and issues regarding customer concerns are researched and resolved in a timely manner.
- Analyzes performance measures and metrics to monitor and evaluate the performance of the Sales Fulfillment organization and its ability to meet customer expectations.
- Supervises the management and development of the Sales Fulfillment staff
- Oversees the process of appointing employees to establish working relationships with customers from point of sale to actual meter turn on for each installation to improve customer relations.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Requires knowledge of gas distribution operations including engineering, construction and maintenance practices.
- Strong knowledge of customer information systems, Work Management Systems, MS Office products (Access, Word and Excel) and work management processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities executing change within an organization.
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to inspire and guide individuals (subordinates, peers and superiors) toward goal achievement.
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Five (5) five to ten (10) years of related experience including managing multiple projects and deadlines, utilizing technology and process implementation in electric or gas distribution and/or operations.
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing. A positive drug test will result in disciplinary action.
Mental Aspects:
- Work includes analyzing, planning, organizing, evaluating and documenting. This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.
