Our Team:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Project Controls in our Transmission organization. The Senior Analyst, Project Controls role islocated in our Hartford, CT office.

Position is responsible for analyzing project and program data, provide strategic direction to Power BI Analysts and report on the performance of the Engineering Organization. Responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient monitoring and analysis of project costs, trends, and schedules for the capital program. The role is responsible for producing a variety of complex reports and analyses in support of Eversource’s project initiating, planning, executing, controlling, compliance and close-out initiatives.

This position will work closely with all functional departments, the Cost & Performance analysts plays a key role monitoring Project Teams regarding their adherence to Eversource’s policies, procedures, and standards. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting out key Engineering Management metrics including schedule performance, contract performance, project productivity, change order management, and other key metrics that will continue to drive efficiency and transparency for Engineering and Project Management execution.

Essential Functions: 

  • Works with Engineering Management, Project Management, Investment Planning, Operations, Contract Administration, Procurement, Materials personnel to ensure overall consistency of project budgets and schedules are in alignment with corporate goals and strategies. 

  • Works with Investment Planning to ensure cost management is being performed at the project and program levels that include cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting CAPEX & PIS, and variance analysis.

  • Tracks Project Management compliance performance with procedures regarding Key Project Decision Documents, record management, and quality control protocols.

  • Applies project analytics to project data to describe, predict, and improve business performance. Create project reports to recommend action or to guide decision making rooted in capital program management performance improvement.

  • Ensures the accuracy of all cost information including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to project budgets.

  • Creates required accounting and project cost variances reports.

  • Monitors and reports on project costs and commitment to budget and forecast.

  • Reviews, evaluates, and reports on trends and their impact on project costs or project in-service dates.

  • Assesses progress measurement and develops and updates progress charts for progress reporting.

  • Creates and maintains project level KPIs and project statistics reports.

  • Establishes new reporting formats and templates in compliance with company and external stakeholder requirements.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • The individual must be self-reliant with a strong sense of self-motivation, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead and direct activities of others.

  • This individual understands and applies financial, accounting, business, risk and project management theories and methodologies. 

  • Knowledge of financial modeling, accounting, risk management, project management information systems, engineering economics, capital investment analysis techniques, plant accounting, tax and capital budgeting.

  • Ability to monitor and analyze cost and scheduling information, provide forecasts, make recommendations, and communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Ability to lead the development of Power BI data analytics and reporting tools

  • Demonstrated high competence in past assignments.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree required, MBA or equivalent education highly desirable.       

Experience: 

  • Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience preferred with experience exposure to Project Manager, accountant, financial business analysts in a business involved with managing large complex multi-year projects. 

  • Working knowledge of Oracle’s Primavera Unifier Project Controls is and Microsoft Power BI required.

HYBRID: Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change,  based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

$110,570.00-$122,860.00
