Business Systems Analyst (Hybrid)

We have an exciting new role opportunity to join our Transmission Interconnection Strategic Solutions team. This is a long-term strategic role that will evolve into a key position supporting regulatory compliance, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous innovation. The successful candidate will serve as a systems steward, ensuring that our tools and processes remain aligned with Eversource’s broader digital transformation goals. The role is based in Hartford, CT.
Essential Functions
Process Evaluation & Documentation:
Review billing and related processes.
Document business needs, designs, data flows, and diagrams.
System Design & Implementation:
Create scalable solutions using tools like Monday.com, Excel, Access, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and JIRA
Ensure systems work well with Eversource platforms for data handling.
Build frameworks for real-time reporting.
Integration Development:
Work with Eversource IT to set integration needs and ensure APIs meet business goals.
Help IT develop and test APIs, data pipelines, and system interfaces.
Check that integrations work properly and meet standards Monitor and fix integration issues for reliable data reporting.
IT Systems Leadership & Alignment:
Lead IT initiatives, ensuring systems meet business needs and project goals.
Work with project managers and stakeholders to translate needs into IT capabilities.
Coordinate with Eversource IT for timely system updates and enhancements.
Manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring systems are scalable and compliant.
Reporting & Insight Delivery:
Identify and maintain reporting needs, including dashboards for different audiences.
Standardize reporting processes and set a schedule for report sharing.
Regulatory Change Management & Process Optimization:
Lead IT system changes due to regulatory updates
Work with legal and operational teams to update systems and processes
Manage timelines for critical tasks, resolving issues and improving workflows.
Promote continuous improvement by evaluating and enhancing processes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Partner with leaders, IT, and users to gather requirements and validate solutions.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to all audiences.
Provide training and support for consistent system use.
Continuous Improvement & Long-Term Support:
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
Ensure systems are scalable and adaptable to future changes.
Seek feedback to identify and address pain points.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Impact:
Identify and address operational issues and inefficiencies.
Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Act as an advisor to leadership, aligning systems with business goals.
Support compliance and data integrity through transparent reporting.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience in business & data analysis, process design, and database/system development.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft products and familiarity with JIRA.
Expertise in system integration, including API development and data pipeline management.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in process optimization and workflow automation.
Familiarity with data visualization, reporting best practices, and modern database design.
Background or exposure to transmission interconnections.
Experience with Monday.com.

valid driver’s license
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Our Hybrid schedule are first 90 days in the office
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
Compensation & Benefits
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The base salary range for this position is $112,500.00 - $125,000.00 - plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
