Role and Scope of Position:Provide key assistance in the creation of System Integration solutions to support the respective business. Responsible for meeting with internal customers to gain a better understanding of their business needs, define report requirements, and develop business intelligence reports to help drive action. Furthermore, this position will improve and expand the internal infrastructure of Eversource enterprise reporting.
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
Essential Functions:
·Leads the mapping of system data architecture related to Eversource Gas and drives the design of a comprehensive data reporting solution.
·Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of Eversource Gas data with Eversource business goals and develops robust monitoring plans for front-end development.
·Takes ownership of requirements gathering, risk traceability, and validation for the implementation of Eversource Gas systems.
·Serves as the primary point of contact for managing reporting requests from internal management and external clients, providing expert guidance and support.
·Defines and drives Eversource Gas database reporting requirements, identifies gaps, and delivers in-depth analysis and timely updates to management.
·Conducts in-depth meetings with internal customers to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business needs, collaborating to identify and implement best practice solutions and define report requirements.
·Develops and maintains complex SQL queries and data automation scripts.
·Establishes strong links between data and business processes and requirements to ensure accurate requirement definition.
·Creates advanced Power BI charts for automated business insights, leveraging advanced features and functionalities.
·Validates results and proactively reconciles discrepancies by gaining a deep understanding of the data and end user workflow.
·Utilizes a wide range of tools and methodologies to create sophisticated reports with actionable information, incorporating advanced data analysis techniques.
·Designs, implements, and maintains highly interactive reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence tools, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
·Proactively monitors the performance of reports and provides strategic recommendations to optimize or enhance the design.
·Takes ownership of data integrity monitoring and actively resolves discrepancies between the data warehouse and other sources.
·Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation, including requirements, design, and end user manuals.
·Provides expert-level end user training and support, acting as a mentor and resource for junior team members.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
·Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, including advanced proficiency in Power BI, PowerApps, and Microsoft Flow. Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query is essential.
·In-depth knowledge of Gateway services and expertise in managing user and app security.
·Extensive experience with Oracle SQL Server and demonstrated ability to handle complex queries and data manipulation.
·Strong applied statistics skills, including expertise in distributions, statistical testing, regression, and other advanced statistical techniques.
·Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data analysis and modeling.
·Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
·Strong attention to detail and ability to produce comprehensive and accurate written documentation.
·Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
·Deep understanding of the organization's business systems and processes, with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
·An ideal candidate would possess knowledge in Python and experience using Databricks for large-scale data processing, analytics, and machine learning workflows.
Education:
·Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
·Advanced degrees or certifications are highly desirable.
Experience:
·Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive business and technical experience, with a focus on system integration, data analysis, and business intelligence.
Licenses & Certifications:
·Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power Platform, Oracle SQL Server, Python, or other related technologies are highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
·Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
·Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
·Work is performed primarily in an office environment which includes sitting, standing and general movement throughout the office area.
