Role and Scope of Position:Supports the development, filing and implementation of rate proposals and administers the company's electric and gas retail tariffs. Performs detailed analyses of customer sales, rates and revenue for use in the Company's annual operating budget and long-term financial forecasts. Responsible for assignments supporting the design of rates, preparation of work papers, testimony and exhibits submitted to regulatory agencies. Interfaces with various areas of the company and works with key customer and financial data.
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Essential Functions:
Completes rate, cost of service and/or contracting analyses; responsible for detailed analysis of customer sales, billing determinants, rates and revenues
Responsible for the development and preparation of regulatory filings and the implementation of rate proposals
Tracks regulatory and market trends to evaluate and anticipate distribution, energy and other utility service pricing in all market segments
Performs analyses of rate and related performance information
Keeps Team Leader and/or Manager informed of issues, impediments and progress
Models standards of excellence including the values of Eversource
Works together with other team members to ensure prompt attention and resolution of critical customer and other urgent problems as situations arise; seeks ways to mitigate situations so that crises and problems are minimized
Supports the testimony of the Company’s expert witnesses on rate and regulatory issues, including distribution rate changes, annual rate reconciliations and other rate or tariff-related filings. Prepares work papers and responses in support of regulatory interrogatories, and supporting analysis and reports for internal and external communications regarding rate changes.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Requires quantitative and analytical skills along with effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Electric and/or gas utility concepts and terms preferred
Knowledge of rates and ratemaking concepts, types of electric or gas utility service provided and characteristics of customers served.
Ability to work with and evaluate large sets of data and integrate information from numerous sources
Solid problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong functional understanding of computerized business systems
Demonstrated skill with MS Office applications;
Experience with applications and analysis involving large data, including use of company applications
Ability to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
Ability and willingness to work with a sense of urgency
Strong customer service orientation
Possesses a high degree of personal ownership and accountability
Ability and willingness to work with integrity and maintain high ethics
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business (finance, accounting or marketing), economics or engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years related experience in one or more utility finance areas (accounting, finance, ratemaking and /or regulatory

Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting, standing and climbing stairs. Job can require driving and traveling to remote service centers.
Mental Aspects:
Work includes analyzing, consulting, designing, implementing, presenting, leading and coordinating.
This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities where work is performed under pressure to meet expectations of key business partners who have differing needs and expectations.
