Lead Systems Engineer (Hybrid Schedule)

Our Team
We have an exciting Lead Systems Engineer role on our team. In this role, the person will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in customer group domain, responsible for supporting decisions, solving complex problems, and ensuring best practices. Additionally, support, maintenance team, strategic initiatives, projects, training, documentation, and quality assurance.
The role can be based in Manchester, NH, Berlin, CT, or Westwood, MA.
Essential Functions:
• Provide SME guidance and insights in this domain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and strategies.
• Review and support technical documentation, processes, and deliverables.
• Support training and development by creating educational materials and mentoring staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Analyze business needs and recommend improvements or innovations.
• Participate in product development, testing, and implementation phases.
• As a SME support product research and evaluation
• Support solution architecture on new system designs and installation, configuration, testing, and documentation
• Coordinate Software upgrades, patches and maintenance
• Support Product Owner for technical priorities and team leadership, directly manage a small team.
• Technical support including trouble shooting and problem resolution
• Network analysis, administration, and configuration
• Operating system, related software products, application and data backup and recovery
• Disaster recovery
• Performance analysis and tuning
• Capacity planning
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Expert knowledge of operating system(s) and relevant software and hardware products, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, performance tuning and capacity planning.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of eight (8) to 10 years of related experience.

Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
HYBRID
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
