IT Senior Engineer, Security (hybrid)

Role and Scope of Position:
Design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. Engages directly with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.

Drive the software change and release management processes, assisting with the overall maturity of the software development lifecycle. Work independently with little supervision. Ensure that software deliverables comply with quality standards and are completed on time.

Hybrid Policy-Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Essential Functions: 

  • May manage moderately sized projects or processes.

  • Owns functional area; major portion of application development architecture, such as entire Front-End or Back-End

  • Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area.

  • Works to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Independently scopes and implements larger user stories for their project/team.
  • Handles open-ended problems & ambiguity well.
  • Makes well-reasoned software design decisions, identifying potential issues, tradeoffs, risks, and the appropriate level of abstraction. (e.g. research spikes with results captured in ADR's, etc..)

  • Possesses a deep expertise in one or more areas

  • Spearhead process improvements within Identity and Access Management (IAM), streamline service and generic account request workflows to enhance user experience and adoption
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Product Owner for the IAM Product Center, including CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform, SailPoint IIQ and Cyberark EPM
  • Lead architecture development, process documentation, and strategic direction for enterprise privileged access.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across security, infrastructure, and application teams to align IAM and PAM initiatives
  • Facilitate expansion of IAM tool utilization and improve operational maturity in managing identity platforms.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Degree in a related field is a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of related experience
  • Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have broad knowledge of project management. Works to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices. Requires substantial knowledge of ES projects, programs, or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area.

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

$123,640.00-$137,380.00
