We are looking for a motivated IT Intern to join our team for the summer. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work in our Windows environment, focusing on scripting and automation. The ideal candidate will gain valuable experience developing PowerShell scripts, enabling self-service solutions, and learning SCCM for device management and software deployment.Responsibilities:
•Develop and test PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and enable self-service functionalities for end-users.
•Assist in creating automated solutions for troubleshooting and performing user-driven actions, such as software installations.
•Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement innovative automation opportunities.
•Document scripts, processes, and solutions for team reference and long-term use.
•Provide support for troubleshooting Windows environment issues.
Requirements:
•Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Some experience with scripting or development (PowerShell preferred).
•Familiarity with Windows environments and basic troubleshooting.
•Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of PowerShell or similar languages / platforms.
•Interest in automation, software deployment, or IT process improvement.
Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource. Pay rates are hourly, based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Rates start at $18.12 for a non-technical freshman and go up to $41.82 for a technical PhD.
