Omni Product Owner (Hybrid Schedule)

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.Role and Scope of Position:
Lead team of subject-matter experts in various technology areas responsible for implementation and enhancement of the Customer Technology suite of systems and digital solutions within the Customer Operations Organization. For agile projects, serve as the Product Owner for agile scrum teams. Team functions include requirements gathering; design, build, and unit testing; and supporting system integration testing, user acceptance testing, product hardening, change management, end-user training, operational readiness, business readiness, data conversion, deployment, and post-go-live or hyper care support. Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with company leadership, business stakeholders, project managers, other Product Owners, IT support, solution integrators, and technology vendors to ensure alignment on technology solutions, project timelines, dependencies, and risks.
Essential Functions:
- Manages team of subject matter experts to deliver technology solutions that leverage best practices to meet business requirements.
- Serves as Product Owner for Agile Methodology Scrum Team(s).
- Oversees all aspects of waterfall and agile project stages, from requirements gathering and design development through implementation and post-go-live support.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensures effective communication within the project, with other related or connected projects, and with all levels of Eversource management.
- Ensures new technology implementations and enhancements are delivered on time, as designed, and in accordance with business requirements, best practices, and customer and regulatory expectations.
- Ensures team develops in-depth knowledge of system functionality and business processes.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Knowledge of IT systems and IT system implementation, maintenance, and enhancement.
- Experience with implementing new technology solutions using Waterfall and Agile Methodologies.
- Experience with large-scale technology projects involving integrations with multiple systems and vendors.
- Change management leadership skills – including influencing outcomes and communicating vision of desired outcome.
- Experience developing, training, and managing technology implementation project teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience, is required.
- Master’s degree is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of ten years of electric and/or gas utility or related experience is required
- Five (5) years in a management and/or leadership capacity is highly desirable.
- Must have a solid conceptual knowledge of Information Technology.

- Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH, as necessary.
