Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.Role and Scope of Position:
This position has the primary responsibility for ensuring that the New Hampshire Eversource Distribution Automation capital investment program is optimally developed to provide the highest levels of system reliability at lowest possible costs.
Essential Functions:
Specific responsibilities include:
·Working collaboratively across the Field Operations and Substation Operations areas to assist with the achievement of the goals of the program and organization.
·Preparing reports and analysis to measure distribution automation costs/performance, to ensure cost effective use of resources, and to monitor budget performance against projections. Responsible for collection of data from various resources.
·Monitoring schedules and workloads to ensure resource availability and skill sets comply with the execution needs of the organization.
·Assisting with models to project the workforce and equipment procurement requirements needed to support short-term and long-term growth of the operations business unit to successfully implement the program and to optimize work schedule/resource allocations.
·Assists in the preparation of the annual operating and capital work plans for the New Hampshire Operations organization.
Program Development:
oAnalyzes processes/data and converts this into value added thinking and information to facilitate the development of the New Hampshire Distribution Automation (NHDA) capital program forecast and budget.
oIdentifies opportunities for process change or continuous improvement and coordinates with other stakeholder groups to identify and prioritize NHDA devices for inclusion in the one-year and five-year capital budget plan.
oWorks with Engineering, Project Management, and Cost Estimating to develop detailed program and project level scope, cost, schedule, and acceptance and implementation of change.
oAssists with querying and reporting and communicates findings to an interdisciplinary project team across multiple departments to select the best solution, explore alternatives, and support the successful operational installation from design implementation to commissioning.
Program Implementation:
oSchedules and coordinates, across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups, the installation and commissioning of distribution automation assets across the Eversource Energy New Hampshire territory.
oTracks procurement, engineering, and operational activities to ensure all pre-requisites are met for successful device integration on the electric system.
Equipment Performance:
oAssists with the development of operational strategies for the utilization of asset resources, considering asset life cycle planning and risk analysis.
oAnalyzes equipment reliability to identify and track areas of improvement to communicate to Engineering Standards, Procurement, and multiple design approval committees.
oAssists with the development and issuance of system performance measures; identifies gaps and opportunities for future program and project performance improvements.
oAssists with implementation and support of tri-state processes for consistent collection and management of asset data.
oPerforms asset data analysis to support Asset Management strategies and equipment replacement programs.
Benchmarking:
oFacilitates a program benchmarking effort to ensure operational activities align with budget forecasts and proper accounting practices.
oDevelops reports, prepares and delivers presentations, writes procedures, and performs other activities as needed.
oPerforms and implements special assignments as necessary.
oIdentifies best practices and opportunities for future program improvement.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
·Knowledge of substation power system planning, engineering, maintenance, and operations.
·Strong background in process improvement, planning, and/or scheduling practices.
·Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical, and mathematical skills.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·Familiar with budgeting and accounting concepts.
·Ability to analyze financial documents.
·Ability to understand and utilize economic, financial, and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, identify key issues, and develop strategies and plans.
·Strong communication skills, including the ability to make formal presentations and translate financial and technical information into terms that are meaningful to the audience.
·Ability to create/manage Excel databases and Power Bi dashboards is highly desirable.
·Analytical problem-solving skills, statistics, MS Office product skills.
Education:
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, related discipline, or the equivalent in combined education and experience is required.
Experience:
·Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Knowledge of Substation, Electric, or Field Operations is preferred.
·Experience in the technical, operational, business, strategic, and/or engineering aspects of the electric utility industry is highly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:

Working Conditions:
·Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
·Work is performed primarily in an office environment which involves sitting, standing and general movement throughout the office area.
·Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
·Must be willing to complete field visits as necessary.
·The employee is occasionally exposed to uneven terrain and outside weather conditions.
