In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and managing process improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of Eversource resources. You will independently lead assigned process improvement and business process initiatives by defining scope, developing project plans, engaging key stakeholders and subject matter experts, and driving initiatives through completion with minimal oversight. In addition, you will analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements, while collecting and analyzing process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced costs. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with internal resources to assess critical business processes, tools, and resources to identify and prioritize process improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Documents business processes using BPMN 2.0 standards within SAP Signavio Process Modeling by interviewing and collaborating with subject matter experts to elicit process information and develop accurate current-state and future-state process models.
  • Leads cross-functional teams on complex process improvement engagements, including structured process analysis and future-state design workshops.
  • Works collaboratively with teams to identify and implement enhancements to existing policies, procedures, instructions, systems, etc. that improve operational discipline.
  • Analyzes and identifies current process gaps using observations, data collection, data analysis, current-state process analysis, process ideologies and communication with management and frontline staff.
  • Measures the effectiveness of current-state processes, systems, etc. as well as benefits gained through implemented enhancements.
  • Identifies issues, root causes, strategies for improvement and development of implementation and sustainment plans.
  • Develops a summary of findings, recommendations, and action plans for management to review and approve.
  • Effectively applies various continuous improvement tools and operating discipline to drive assigned initiatives to positive outcomes.
  • Independently manages assigned process improvement and business process initiatives with minimal oversight, including defining scope, developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing schedules, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and driving initiatives through implementation and measurement.
  • Develops and maintains tools, applications, and systems critical to the process improvement initiatives.
  • Develops tools and leverages technology to share relevant information with all stakeholders so business units can learn from process defects, reduce likelihood of future reoccurrence, and improve the mindset of personnel involved in the process.
  • Develops action plans and processes, in coordination with key stakeholders and subject matter experts, for integrating activities and optimizing department resources to meet major goals and objectives.

Technical Knowledge/Skill

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Expertise and working knowledge of process improvement methods, internal controls implementation, change management leadership, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented; demonstrated ability to independently scope, plan, organize, and drive process improvement initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to learn about and integrate new processes and technologies while, when applicable, breaking old paradigms and barriers.
  • Strong process elicitation and interviewing skills, with the ability to gather, synthesize, and translate information from subject matter experts into structured business process documentation.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills (including written, oral, and public speaking) required, with demonstrated ability to develop structured workshop agendas and lead cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts through process analysis and future-state design.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyze current-state processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and facilitate the development of future-state processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with stakeholders at all levels of authority.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and curiosity for learning and implementing new tools and technology.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in process mapping and documentation using BPMN 2.0 standards.
  • Ability to consistently apply established business process modeling standards, conventions, and governance requirements.
  • Extensive experience in process modeling and analysis; knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP Signavio Process Modeling preferred.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in process improvement, business process management, or a related discipline, including experience leading complex process improvement initiatives, is required.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

$122,360.00-$135,960.00
