Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and directing the financial-related activities of the Real Estate and Facilities Analyst/s, supporting the Real Estate & Property Management team. Ensures alignment between facilities operations, budgeting, capital planning, and real estate, right of way, and survey engineering portfolio activities. Provides leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise to support key operational, financial, transactional, and compliance-related objectives across Facilities and Real Estate functions.

Essential Functions: 

  • Provides day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance management for the Facilities Analyst role/s, Real Estate & Property Management.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, benchmarking, and O&M analytics to ensure accuracy, internal control compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Supports real estate transaction support to assist with work order development activities, including leasing, acquisitions, property rights, feasibility reviews, environmental reporting, and valuation activities.
  • Coordinates cross-functional project execution involving Facilities, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Operations, Environmental, Sustainability, and Supply Chain.
  • Reviews and validates analyses, reports, forecasts, and transaction recommendations prepared by the analysts.
  • Ensures alignment of Facilities operations with corporate real estate strategies, regulatory filings, environmental reporting, and internal requirements.
  • Supports development of system requirements, improvements, and process enhancements for Facilities and Real Estate systems (Maximo, PowerPlan, Eptura, Visual Lease, etc.).
  • Ensures effective communication and reporting to management regarding operational performance, budget status, and real estate activity.
  • Represents the department in cross-functional meetings, project reviews, and interactions with external stakeholders as needed.
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives across Facilities and Real Estate processes to enhance efficiency, cost management, and compliance.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Strong understanding of facilities operations, budgeting, forecasting, and capital program management.
  • Knowledge of real estate concepts including leasing, acquisition/disposition processes, property rights, appraisals, and regulatory considerations.
  • Familiarity with utility industry operations and terminology.
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to influence across levels.
  • Knowledge of computerized business systems including MS Office 365, Maximo, Power BI, and PowerPlan.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to fast-changing environments.
  • Knowledge of various accounting approaches: market data approach, cost approach using accrued depreciation, income approach.
  • Federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing real estate activities.
  • Corporate real estate policies and procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to testify before regulatory authorities.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Initiative and personal ownerships.
  • Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office applications.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business administration or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Courses in contract management and contract negotiation are preferred.     

Experience:      

  • Five (5) plus  years of experience supporting financial efforts for Facilities, Real Estate, Property Management, or related fields, including experience with supervision or team leadership.

$123,300.00-$137,000.00
