HYBRID WORK POLICY

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change,  based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Do you want to grow your career and work for a leader in the energy industry?  Eversource is looking for a full-time Senior Technical Recruiter to support our IT organization.  This is a hybrid role, based in Berlin, Connecticut.  We are seeking a highly motivated and results driven Technical Recruiter to attract, engage and hire top technical talent across IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Business Applications, Digital, and Emerging Technology functions.  You will identify and select candidates who possess the competencies to be successful at Eversource Energy.  You will collaborate with hiring managers and the HR team to implement strategies to recruit active and passive talent by sourcing, outreach and building your network. You will ensure an industry best hiring experience for the candidates and hiring manager. 

The preferred candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of technical skill sets to match candidates with complex job requirements, often leveraging platforms like LinkedIn, Workday ATS, Boolean searches, and AI-driven sourcing tools such as HireEZ.

What you will do:

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Proactively develop talent pipeline, seeking out talent, nurture relationships, assessing talent ahead of business demand to meet strategic talent goals.
  • Define and reinforce a consistent recruiting process that results in an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. This includes robust manager kick-off sessions, interview team prep/debrief sessions and behavior-based interviewing.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and reporting regarding the full cycle process.

Manage the entire hiring process from requisition creation, intake meetings, sourcing and screening to interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding. You coordinate interview preparation and post-interview debrief sessions, and partner with all roles and all levels across the organization and provide a positive hiring experience for Hiring Managers and candidates.

Talent Sourcing: Identify passive and active candidates through networking, social media, specialized communities, and applicant tracking systems (ATS) and AI technology. Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill technical positions. Conduct candidate outreach campaigns and build relationships with high-potential technical professionals.

Technical Assessment: Evaluate candidates’ technical abilities and map them to job requirements (e.g., programming languages, software engineering, systems architecture).

Hiring Manager Partnership: Partner with stakeholders to define roles and develop effective candidate sourcing and hiring strategies.

Process Improvement: Supports projects to improve or enhance the Talent Acquisition process and systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Fluency: Understanding of information technology technical jargon, skill sets, and industry trends.

Sourcing Techniques: Proficiency in Boolean search strings, AI technology and advanced search techniques.

Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on market trends, compensation, talent availability and recruiting strategies.   Facilitate intake meetings, interview planning, candidate debriefs and hiring decisions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT or technical recruiting, preferably with a combination of recruiting agency and corporate setting.   Knowledge of recruitment best practices, interviewing techniques, and employment laws.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for building candidate pipelines and managing relationships.      

Licenses & Certifications:  SHRM Certification [PHR, SPHR] or certification in Talent Acquisition preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
