Safety Internship - Eversource Energy
The Safety Intern supports Eversource’s Safety team by assisting with safety data analysis, reporting, and regulatory compliance activities. This internship provides hands-on experience with safety metrics, incident reporting, OSHA compliance, and safety information systems while working alongside experienced analysts and leaders.

*Open to candidates interested in working in our Connecticut location. *
Responsibilities:
Support the Safety team with basic data collection, organization, and review of safety incidents and observations.
Assist in preparing simple reports and presentations related to safety performance and trends.
Help maintain safety records and documentation in support of OSHA compliance and internal requirements.
Provide administrative and coordination support for incident investigations and workers’ compensation documentation.
Assist with basic data entry and reporting in safety systems and databases under supervision.
Conduct introductory research on safety best practices and industry trends.
Learn about company safety programs, construction/field operations, and regulatory requirements through hands‑on projects and job shadowing
Qualifications:
Interest in workplace safety, construction safety, or industrial/utility environments.
Basic familiarity with (or strong interest in learning) OSHA and workplace safety regulations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and safety concepts.
Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Management Information Systems or a related field.
Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource. Pay rates are hourly, based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Rates start at $18.12 for a non-technical freshman and go up to $41.82 for a technical PhD.
