HYBRID WORK POLICY
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature ofworkand team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. The Eversource Enterprise Business Solutions team is responsible for supporting IT systems that are the backbone of Eversource’s business. The team supports a variety of agile and waterfall projects which run the gamut from smaller discretionary efforts, digital and web efforts to regulatory ordered initiatives that impact core CIS systems within our investor-owned company. The supervisor role will be responsible for managing primarily all the regulatory effort along with providing oversight to capital projects within the portfolio from inception to successful delivery.
We are seeking an individual who will focus on responding to regulatory inquiries related to potential IT changes in our systems due to emerging state laws and regulations in the 3 states we serve. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing regulatory orders, understanding what needs to be changed in our customer systems and facilitating scoping, and estimations in support of IT potential projects that are regulatory driven. Partners with Legal, Regulatory and Customer Group in crafting responses that are filed on record with regulatory bodies. This role will assist with overall capital projects oversight working closely with PMO and business partners.
Essential Functions:
Requirement elicitation: Facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to gather and understand requirements.
Requirement analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose business requirements into system requirements.
Requirement’s documentation – Preparation and management of high-level requirements to be used for estimation or detailed requirements documents using Eversource’s templates.
Respond to regulatory filings, summarizing estimations and work into business terms for external parties.
Estimation preparation—Prepare estimation models using Eversource’s standard templates.
Tracking and updating status on IT regulatory efforts.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills. Emphasis is on putting technical jargon in language that can be understood by non-technical parties.
Ability to manage time and meet applicable deadlines and comfortable working under pressure.
A self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment requiring considerable attention to detail while conducting complex research and analysis.
Resourceful – able to uncover answers or find sources of answers independently.
Comfortable conferring with regulated utility representatives (executives, attorneys, operating personnel, etc.) and other external parties on issues related to electric utility regulation being proposed.
Possess a sense of urgency and individual responsibility to work effectively with changing priorities.
Understanding of software development methodologies and basic project scheduling.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and technical training
Experience:
Five (5) or more years of professional experience related to customer operations of regulated public utilities in the role of a Business Analyst or project manager. Working general exposure to Customer Service processes – rates, billing, establishing service, credit, and collections etc.
Understanding of regulatory principles and state or federal energy regulations applicable to investor-owned public utilities or other regulated industries.
Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops.
Experience in project cost and schedule estimation.
Experience serving in the role of a Business Analyst, modeling requirements that can be used to design and test the system.
