Associate Analyst, Rates and Regulatory, Transmission (hybrid schedule)

Role and Scope of Position:Under direct supervision, Associate Analyst, Transmission Rates and Regulatory is responsible for compiling inputs for various Transmission formula rate calculations.
HYBRID WORK POLICY
Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with the preparation of transmission revenue requirement calculations in support of transmission tariff filings
- Prepares reports detailing transmission transactions and rates to various regulatory agencies such as FERC and PUC
- Coordinates data request responses for the annual formula rate protocols.
- Contributes to departmental industry research, including formula rate protocols, in support of annual protocol process
- Calculates transmission service revenues for the annual budget and five-year financial forecast
- Executes activities and/or objectives in an accurate, timely manner and ensures a positive impact on colleagues and customers
- Contributes to a positive, professional, cooperative and efficient work atmosphere and openly communicates work information to others in a timely manner
- Delivers superior customer service
- Keeps manager informed of issues, impediments, and progress
- Participates in the resolution of customer crisis/urgent problems as situations arise
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Basic accounting theory, functional practices and procedures and financial reporting
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Customer service orientation
- Demonstrated skills with MS Office
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Possesses a high degree of personal ownership and accountability
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or closely related discipline required.
- Working towards a CPA, MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Zero to three years of experience.
- Experience in the application of revenue requirements theory preferred.
- Utility industry finance experience preferred.
Licenses:
- N/A
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
