Analyst, Marketing

In this role you will, Work with sales and marketing to plan, develop and implement strategic and tactical sales initiatives, pilot programs, budgets, and market share goals.  Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly marketing reporting.   Develop and produce marketing lists using multiple databases.   Provide strategic analytical support for marketing functions. Responsible for evaluating sales territory potential from both a customer and regional level on a quantitative and qualitative basis.  Evaluates existing programs and services from both the company’s and the customer’s perspective of margins generated and customer satisfaction with program process. Coordinate schedules and provide analysis for marketing and sales initiatives required by the Company.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly marketing reporting.  Reporting responsibilities to include development as well as production of reports.
  • Develop and maintain marketing lists for lead generation using multiple databases and data sources.
  • Conduct analysis to determine sales potentials based on opportunities within the marketplace and the communities served by the company to achieve awareness, retention, acquisition, growth, and market segment goals.  Works with sales and marketing to develop programs targeting identified end-use technologies.
  • Identify and assess new markets and the potential to keep the company at the forefront of market opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain industry/technology overviews that provide both strategic and tactic direction.  Responsible for implementation of recommendations, goals, tracking and results.
  • Identify and assess opportunities to expand Eversource’s service territory both within existing and non-served towns.
  • Provide input for the development of Marketing policies and procedures as a result of analysis and process development or improvement.
  • Assess and make recommendations regarding the quality of marketing information and data.
  • Monitors sales and marketing plans.
  • Represents the Company on industry and local marketing committees and associations.  Responsible for staying up to date on consumer marketing concepts, tactics and strategies.  Direct efforts of outside consultants.  Provide marketing and program assistance to other process within Eversource.
  • Will have storm restoration and emergency duty assignments.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Expert knowledge in marketing, sales, analysis methods and project management. 
  • Strong understanding of prospect databases and marketing file generation including file cleanup and post office mailing standards.
  • Must have experience in marketing, qualitative research approaches, on-line research, statistics, business concepts, databases.  Knowledge of SalesForce preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and Access, a working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, make decisions, solve problems creatively and to take the initiative. 
  • Working knowledge of business concepts, consumer behavior and the energy industry. 
  • Good communication, presentation, computer, and time management skills. 
  • Must possess strong analytical, mathematical and computer skills. 
  • Familiarity/understanding of the natural gas distribution industry is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience                          

Experience:                               

  • Three (3) plus years of related experience

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

  • Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.  This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location. 
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
