Only WMECO bargaining unit employees will be considered at the helper level. All other candidates must be fully-qualified electrician.
Eversource Energy has a position available in the Substation Construction and Maintenance Department for an Electrician. In order to be considered for this opening, candidates should hold a valid Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrician license (or the equivalent) and have a valid CDL and Hazmat endorsement (or the ability to obtain both).
Must be available to perform overtime and emergency work as required and live within 30 minutes of the reporting location. Candidates must successfully pass the Construction and Skilled Trades Test (CAST). This position will be designated shift work with the possibility of Saturday as a workday and a four, ten-hour workweek may be scheduled.
The ability to work in inclement weather and be willing to work outside of your assigned district are required. Individual may be required to job-site report.
Bargaining unit employees under the WMECO contract will be given first consideration. In addition, this position is being posted internally and externally.
